This customisation enables Microsoft to embed advanced AI capabilities directly into its suite of products, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook, creating intelligent assistants that boost productivity and streamline enterprise workflows.
Furthermore, Microsoft’s approach extends to the Azure OpenAI Service, which gives enterprises API access to these fine-tuned models. This allows companies to develop their own AI-powered applications while benefiting from Microsoft’s infrastructure, scalability and governance frameworks. By investing in and integrating OpenAI’s models, Microsoft strengthens its own product ecosystem and positions itself as a key player in the enterprise AI market. In this context, Anthropic positions themselves as the best coding assistant and articulate their strategy's development around it.

Sonnet strikes a balance between speed of execution and intelligence, while Haiku prioritises speed and efficiency, making it ideal for regular use.
Unlike OpenAI, Anthropic's approach is geared towards enterprises rather than individual consumers. According to a TechCrunch report, the company has grown from fewer than 1,000 business customers to over 300,000 by late 2025. The firm expects to increase its revenue to 70 billion dollars by 2028.

Although Meta, Facebook's parent company, has developed its own model (LLaMA), it faces challenges in achieving the same level of visibility and impact as offerings from OpenAI or Google. Nevertheless, Meta remains a serious contender thanks to its dominant position in the tech industry. By acting as a neutral platform that hosts multiple models and provides scalable infrastructure, Amazon benefits from the increased demand for AI workloads across industries. Although this approach is not widely visible, it establishes Amazon as a key player in the AI value chain, enabling it to capture long-term value as businesses increasingly rely on cloud-based AI solutions.
The Hidden Costs of AI: Energy Demands and Data Sovereignty Concerns
In the race to dominate the rapidly expanding AI technology market, all major tech companies have launched initiatives. This tackles vendor lock-in concerns and gives enterprises complete control over their AI stack.
In this context, the energy company TotalEnergies adopted Mistral in mid-2025 to support the development of new AI solutions.
